How about some music news for a busy Friday afternoon?
Christina Aguilera is squashing the rumour that her sliced tendons came as a result of a fight with a drunken fan in a Paris nightclub. No word as to just what caused Xteena’s injuries, but she says it wasn’t this rumoured brawl.
While we’re on the topic of the skeezy Miss Aguilera, she’s madly preparing for her December wedding to Jordan Bratman. Apparently, she’s all over Christian LaCroix for a custom-made wedding gown.
Looking for some old school rock? Frank Black is quoted this week as saying The Pixies will head back into the studio to record a new album, following the success of their recent club tour. A new project would be their first in 14 years.
Foo Fighter Dave Grohl is apparently lookin’ to work with all the hottest girls in music. He got multiple Grammy-winner Norah Jones to join him on the Foo’s last album, and is now personally wooing Joss Stone to get together on a collaboration.
New old Bob Dylan – the incomprehensible genius is set to release a new CD of never-before released tracks dating as far back as 1959.
Michael Jackson biographer, Stacy Brown, has made a public plea to the wacky singer’s family to keep him under a close watch, as she’s convinced he’s headed for the end of his life. Apparently the almost-6 foot singer is weighing in under 100 lbs and living too close to the edge.
Kylie Minogue is on her way to France – after undergoing rounds of cancer treatment in her native Australia, the pop star is off to Paris for further chemo. She and her mom will bunk with Kylie’s boyfriend, actor Olivier Martinez.
Been missing Robbie Williams? Fear not – he’ll be back in October of this year with a brand new CD called “Intensive Care.’
Britney news, anyone? Wellll … apparently Britney and hubby, K.Fed, got into a public tiff at the LA premiere of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory when he lit a smoke right next to her. The very-pregnant singer has apparently ordered Kevin to quit smoking.
The first (and god-willing only) season of Britney & Kevin: Chaotic will be out on DVD by the last week of August … if anyone cares.
Kelly Osborne is heading under the knife. The singer/reality-star has admitted that her recent stay in rehab had nothing to do with drugs, rather to deal with the self-esteem issues she’s suffering as a result of public jibes about her weight & appearance. Citing her mother’s extensive plastic surgery experiences, Kelly is set to start getting “sucked, tucked and Botoxed.”
Faith Hill is all set for her 2nd primetime TV special, this time on NBC. Faith’s concert special will air in November, over the US Thanksgiving weekend, and will be tied to the release of her new CD, Fireflies.
Also on the way back: Ricky Martin will release his first English-language album since 2000 in October, working with The Matrix (Avril’s group) and The Black-Eyed Peas. Erasure frontman, Andy Bell, will also be releasing a solo CD in October.
And there ya have it … HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!
